Andy Penner, West Side Physiotherapy Andy Penner BSc. (PT), Physiotherapist

Andy graduated from the University of Western Ontario and spent several years practicing in acute care hospital and clinical settings in Texas. He then returned to the Guelph area where he furthered his experience in orthopedic care. Andy is certified in the McKenzie Institute's program of spinal assessment and treatment and continues to take higher level manual therapy courses to advance his skills in physiotherapy and acupuncture.

Andy is trained in rehabilitation post work-related injury and performs Work Conditioning programs, Ergonomic Assessments and Functional Capacity Evaluations using the Matheson protocol.

Malcolm Briggs, West Side Physiotherapy

 

Malcolm Briggs BSc., BSc. (PT), Physiotherapist

Malcolm received his Physiotherapy degree from the University of Western and has extensive experience working at orthopedic clinics prior to opening West Side Physiotherapy in 2002. He continues to take a variety of post-graduate courses providing him with up-to-date skills to effectively treat orthopedic injuries. The primary focus of Malcolm's treatment is on Manual Therapy with a targeted exercise program for his patients to successfully achieve their goals. Modalities and Acupuncture are also utilized to reduce pain and promote healing of soft tissue.

Malcolm has an undergraduate degree in Biological Science from the University of Guelph . He also received a Diploma in Emergency Care and previously worked serving Guelph as a Paramedic.

Dana Law, West Side Physiotherapy

 

Dana Law BSc.(HK), Mphty, Physiotherapist

Dana returned to Canada 5 years ago after completing her Master’s degree in physiotherapy from the University of Queensland Australia. She is currently pursuing her Certificate in Sports physiotherapy and runs a weekly clinic with the Guelph Marlin’s and University of Guelph Varsity Swim Clubs. As an avid sports fan, her background involves working with athletes from all areas, including field hockey, rugby, Australian Rules football, hockey, lacrosse, baseball, volleyball and triathletes. She is very proud to be this year’s recipient of the Guelph Mercury 2011 Reader’s Choice Gold award for Favorite Physiotherapist.

Dana graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor’s degrees in Human Kinetics and worked for several years as a lifeguard and swim instructor.

Erin Martyn, West Side Physiotherapy

Erin Martyn BSc.(HK), MPT, Physiotherapist


Erin is the newest member of our physiotherapy staff. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 2007 and received her Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in 2010. She has experience working with children, adults and seniors, including some high level athletes. Erin is always looking for ways to improve her skills by attending post-graduate courses, and in the future plans to focus on manual therapy and sports therapy. She enjoys being outdoors and has been a part of many sports such as figure skating, rugby, field hockey and badminton. She is looking forward to returning to Guelph with her husband and their puppy Shelby.

Jen Gregorio, West Side Physiotherapy

Jen Gregorio: Registered Massage Therapist

Over the course of her career Jen has worked in both clinics and spas. This has given her valuable experience in the many different aspects of massage therapy. Jen has always felt that massage therapy is an integral part of recovery from old and new injuries as well as to help people manage everyday stress in life. Jen is effective in treating a variety of soft tissue injuries including strains, whiplash injuries, headaches and low back pain.


Darlene Rempel, West Side Physiotherapy

Darlene Rempel: Certified Pedorthist

With a Bachelor in Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor, Darlene worked in the physiotherapy field as a Clinical Kinesiologist for five years prior to her Pedorthic endeavours. Darlene received her Certified Pedorthist (Canada) Designation from the College of Pedorthics of Canada and continues to be an affiliate and associate to Mike Forgrave & Associates in Kitchener. Darlene provides a clinic at West Side Physiotherapy for her clients in the Guelph area.

Lori Dunkley, West Side Physiotherapy

Lori Dunkley: Office Manager

Lori has administrative experience in a variety of medical settings. She has developed significant knowledge of physiotherapy and allied health care practices including extended health coverage, WSIB and Auto Insurance claim management. Lori is passionate about helping people and is dedicated to creating an exceptional clinic experience.
